Gangster!2p!America x Reader-Safe Ch.6
Stepping inside the empty house, Al had his hands shoved in his pockets at he followed your realtor. Staring in awe, you were just at the entrance. Hopefully the rest of the house gives you the same reaction. Originally, you planned for something small like an apartment, but Al and you have been talking a lot lately. He seems to be at your current place all the time and you don’t mind if he spends the night. Soon, you weren’t alarmed to see him already in your house when you came home. It got you thinking, maybe he should just move in with you. But of course, you were currently planning to move so Al said that the both of you should just get a place together. A new start for him and a new chapter for the both of you. The thought of moving in together got the two of you to start talking about the future. You mentioned marriage and Al mentioned kids.
None of your past relationships ever got this serious and neither did Al’s. It just made you so happy and it gave you that same gut feeling every time the two of you got closer to each other. It was starting to become harder to imagine a life without him. Getting this house could mean so many things for the two of you. Al told you he was also looking for new jobs and that’s why he’s gone sometimes and occasionally the two of you just needed some alone time. You’ve already mentioned Al to your family and he’s mentioned you to his. It’s so exciting! Dad was being his usual self when he asked you a bunch of thorough questions about Al. He was just a bit suspicious when you showed him a picture, but luckily, Dad has retired and doesn’t know the local gangs around here. You aren’t from this state after all.
Getting back on track, you went after the realtor and quickly linked your arm with Al. The both of you listened intently as he gave you guys the tour of the available home. Everything was looking perfect which was unbelievable. There were three rooms, one bathroom and a half bathroom, then the size of the kitchen in living room were decent! The kitchen wasn’t cramped and the living room can hold a lot of guests. Then the backyard made you squeal. It wasn’t huge, but a complete improvement from your apartment. You lived on the fourth floor and hauling groceries was becoming a pain. A small balcony which was really a fire escape wasn’t good enough for you. With a backyard, it meant more room for the possibilities! This could be the home your children grow up in!
The realtor, Mike, decided to let you and Al do whatever you wanted to check around the house. Al was making sure there wasn’t any rat problems, fungus problems, and made sure there wasn’t going to be any kind of problem whatsoever. You stayed with the realtor and asked him questions about the home and anything that was important for you to know. This house was getting more and more unbelievable. It almost made you want to cry, but you didn’t want to settle just yet. For all you know, the price on this house could be high. How could this house still be on the market if there wasn’t at least one negative about this place? Walking over to Al, he gave to the all-clear. No problems to deal with! So the two of you decided to wander the house together one last time and had quick little discussions on how the rooms would be decorated and things you could do in the house.
Giving Al a hug, he held you tightly for a few seconds. Now it was time to go to the realtor. You didn’t even want to see him in fear if this place really was too good to be true. You didn’t want to know the price went you first came because the house looked so pretty from the outside. There was even a spot in front of the windows to plant flowers and things like that. It made you think crazy things like taking up gardening as a hobby. Then the garage was so neat and the drive way was cool as well! The front lawn had been freshly cut so it would be easier to sell if this place looked nice. And let’s just say, this place looked more than nice!
Walking over to Mike, he grinned at the both of you guys. He was probably already preparing a way to make you buy the house. Or he could tell that the two of you possibly couldn’t afford a place like this. Still, Mike looked like a decent human being. Who knows? He could end up telling you this place cost an arm and a leg! That was the last thing you needed. It’s been a week of house hunting and you were slowly getting tired of breaking dreams with a place being too costly, too far, or only livable for just you and Al. Meaning, having kids would make the placed cramp. Even having a dog would be too much and that hurts so since you really want a dog!
“Ready to talk?” Mike held down his clipboard and grinned.
“I think we are…” You gave the place just one last look over before looking back at Mike. “So tell us, how much does a place like this cost?”
“Having this place alone wouldn’t hurt your salary too much since you are a nurse. Occasionally it could be too much, but seeing as you’ll be having another person living with you, that changes things. What exactly do you do, Al?” Mike looked at his clipboard and then glanced at Al’s wrist. “Um…excuse me, what’s that?”
“Sh*t, no.” Al put his hand behind his back and tried to laugh it off, but Mike’s face grew a shade paler. “I’m not…I swear, I’m not with the Slashers. Anymore at least. I didn’t get this tattoo randomly, but I promise that I’m no gangster.”
Mike was silent as he glanced at your pleading eyes. You didn’t want to lose a chance to live here just because of a tattoo. Besides, Al isn’t even a Slasher anymore! Mike stammered with his words at first, “So…um, I. A-Al, what do you do now? Are you employed?”
“I’m trying to find a job. I got a good amount of money saved that would probably help for three months at most,” Al said and you noticed how he still looked nervous.
“(F/n), here’s the down payment and I think you could qualify for a big home loan. Your credit score history is perfect and your annual income is a good-sized amount. I don’t think college debts will be too much of a problem.” Mike handed you his clipboard and pointed at all the prices and how things could add up with bills and other finances. “Once you pay off your mortgage, it will eliminate monthly costs. Now, buying and renting this home are too different things, I’m sure you know.”
“What happens if we rent?” Al tilted his head.
“With renting, it’s better with people who probably aren’t going to be staying in this house for more than five years at least. You pay every month for life unlike when you buy. Uh, when the lease is up you can easily move compared to if you bought. So buying means commitment. Oh, renting is better if doing a down payment uses up most of your emergency funds. Rent can spike, but when you buy the economy can hurt you. Let’s see, and if you rent, you’ll have a security deposit which could disappear if you neglect and mistreat your house.” Mike nodded his head, “Will you guys need more time to decide?”
“Um…” You looked at Al and he gave you a smile. This was a huge risk and typically, you’d never do something like this. “I think we’re buying.”
“Okay, great! I’ll just need you to sign some papers…” Mike stated and started pulling out more than ‘some’ papers. He handed you over a pen and started explaining more things to you in his fast speaking. You luckily could keep up and understand the things he was saying. Al stood in the background, silent and only watching you make everything happen with the house.
After finishing up with him, you let out a huge sigh. Mike rushed over to his car to do a few things. Currently, you were at the kitchen counter and you turned to face Al. Smiling at the American, he didn’t share the same look. Walking over to him, you couldn’t exactly tell what he was so upset about. Mike didn’t hit on you, the house was affordable, but…oh. Al had his right hand over his left, covering as much of his left as he possibly could. That little panic reaction from Mike might have affected Al more than you thought.
“Al, what’s wrong? Mike knows you’re not a Slasher anymore.” You petted his head.
“It’s not that…” He huffed. “This d*mn tattoo is getting me into a lot of trouble. It almost cost you the chance to live in a house like this. I could tell how much you loved this place. I f*cked up my life and I was so close to doing the same to you…”
“What do you mean?” You sat down right next to him. “In the end, this place is just a house, Allen. You mean so much more to me.”
“…Thanks, Doll.” Al smiled. “But don’t call me Allen.”
“It’s your name!” You stated.
“Yeah, yeah, whatever. What do we do with this?” He held up his left arm and showed you the gang tattoo. “I know it costs a hell of lot more money just to remove crap like this.”
“Well, maybe you could just cover it up with another tattoo?” You suggested to see his eyes light up. “Is that good?”
“Hell yeah that’s good! It means I get another tat and I won’t be associated with these guys anymore.” Al grinned before pulling you into a grateful hug. He whispered, “Thanks for turning my life around, (F/n)…”
“I’m proud of you.” You kissed his cheek since he made the larger effort to change his life.

A loud groan erupted from your throat. You picked up your cellphone and answered the call. "Hello?" You slurred from the sleep. "'Ey, man. I was wondering-" "No." You bluntly said over the phone. "W-what?? You didn't even know what I was goin' to say, dammit!!" The voice yelled.
You rolled your eyes and sighed. "Allen. I'm busy today, so I can't hang out, pull pranks, get into fights, and sure as hell not going to be arrested again for vandalism." You sneered at the last sentence. A scoff came about. "You were arrested 'cause you were slow, asshat." Allen huffed.
"I was not! I'm more of a fucking runner tha

I feel bad for Al. Being ashamed of his last. I know we all makes mistakes and all, but the past is something that we shouldn't dwell on. (LOL I'M NOT TAKING MY OWN ADVICE)
Despite how bad it may be, no one should feel bad about it. At least Al has reader
I dont know why but I laughed when Al said to not call him Allen XD I guess he's so used to Al
