Stomping his feet, Allen had his gang following him as they walked through the lunch area. Everyone was crowding into one small area so it was a perfect plan in Al’s head. This will be the way he gets his soulmate to show their face already. With his hands in fists, Al looked around the quad but his heart wasn’t glowing at all. This isn’t fair. Already Al could tell his group was getting annoyed of searching for a girl who keeps running away. Everyone was staring at Al since he usually sat at the corner near a large tree. They all remained with no light showing through their chest.

“I’m getting f*cking tired with her running.”Al frowned.

“There’s not much we can do, Al.”Dally walked to Allen with his hands in his pockets.”Trust me, I want this girl to f*cking show up already too.”

“Yeah…would it be crazy to walk up to every girl out here and wait for my heart to just glow?”He asked.

“Like a game of hot and cold?”Dally chuckled.”Well, it won’t hurt to give it a shot.”

“Why is he so needy for attention?”Al heard one of his members whisper to one another. It angered him but he remained silent. They didn’t understand that Al genuinely wanted love. He felt so close to getting it too.

Walking outside with your best friend by your side, you held your textbook and lunch bag. For the most part, the whole soulmate thing was out of your mind. It’s been bothering you for these last few days. Right now you just wanted to relax and talk casually with (Bf/n). There’s no need to bring it up anyway. Your heart wasn’t glowing so you were safe for the most part. Besides, Al and his little gang tend to sit in the corner which is far away from the table you and (Bf/n) sit at regularly. (Bf/n) walked ahead you and instantly sat down with his lunch already open. Smiling, you place your lunch bag down while (Bf/n) started to eat his food.

Slowly your eyes noticed your heart was starting to light up. That meant Al was getting near you but not close enough to make your heart look almost like a spot light. Panicking, you grab your textbook and cover your chest. Hopefully you could get away with this a second time. You were about to run away until Allen shouted to the whole quad ‘DON’T MOVE!”. If you even bothered to move, oh gosh, you would look so guilty. Everyone’s attention would move to you. So now, you’re stuck here with a glowing heart. This was terrifying. Breathing heavily, you watched as Al walked around the quad and tried to see which way his heart glowed brighter.

No one’s chest was glowing which left Al automatically confused. He went towards the right which was opposite of you so his light dimed. This is it. He’s going to find you. Al then walked over to the left and his heart was glowing brighter. It was so quiet outside, not even birds were chirping. With wide eyes, you see Al looking at everyone on the left side. Immediately his eyes narrowed down on you. Was the book too obvious? Avoiding his gaze, you tried to hide behind (Bf/n) but it was too late. Al had already been staring at you for a while and you became the center of attention.

“Hey you.”Al said.

“…”You remained quiet.

“Remove the book.”Al stepped closer to have his heart shine brighter. He gulped and looked you in the eyes.”H-Hey, get rid of the book. That’s all you have to do.”

“…No, really. It’s not me.”You murmured.

“Then get rid of the book.”Allen said in a demanding tone. He continued to walk closer to you until the two of you were only two feet away from each other. His heart glowed so bright and you felt your eyes sting. Noticing everyone staring at you, you look at Al only to shake your head.

“Show me your heart!!”Al grabbed your textbook and tossed it the side. Shocked, you slightly frowned as your heart was shining the brightest it’s ever had.

All of a sudden, you felt Al embrace you. He was squeezing you tightly and you could hear how hard his heart was beating. Not feeling scared anymore, you hugged him back and cried into his chest. Some people began clapping before the entire quad joined in. Feeling Al kiss your head, you knew you’d be okay. Sure you were scared but…if he’s your soulmate. Well then you trust him. Pulling away from the hug, you noticed how red Allen’s cheeks were. After all this attention, you wouldn’t be surprised if your face was just as red. He squeezed your hand and spoke again.

“Let’s go somewhere more private.”

Nodding, you followed him to the usual corner where his gang would lurk. Right now, they stayed in the quad and so did (Bf/n) to give you two some privacy. Sitting on the grass, you watched as Al sat close to you. Growing a smile on your face, you sighed peacefully. That wasn’t so bad. For some reason you had imagined an over exaggerated reveal. Instead the two of you were smiling with pink spread across your faces.

“I don’t mean to ruin the mood but…why’d you hide?”Al asked.

“I’m sorry…I was super nervous.”You admitted.”I was kind of afraid to be with you. From everything I heard to you even picking on my friend. I was just a bit hesitant.”

“Oh…who’s your friend?”He raised a brow.

“(Bf/n).”You stated.

“That f*ck-Nevermind.”Al quickly stopped and chuckled nervously.”Anyway, sorry about all that.”

“Don’t worry about it. He’s fine and…I am too.”

Looking at him with a big grin, Al wrapped his arm around your waist. The awkwardness finally went away and the two of you began talking to each other like you’ve known them since birth. Al started with clearing up all the rumors about him and told you the truth about himself. Listening to every word he said, Al soon finished and it was your turn. Now sure where to start, you just told Al about what you like and dislike. From there you went off talking about your dreams for the future, your pet peeves, and telling him your class schedule. Soon the bell was about to ring again and class would start in five minutes.

“Before you go, Dollface.”Al grabbed your arm as you both stood up from the ground.”You free Friday night?”

“I am.”You giggled to see him smirk.

Allen then placed his hands on your hips and pulled you into a kiss. Not expecting this at all today, you didn’t make a move right away. Finally you began to kiss back and wrap your arms around his neck. Al nibbled on your bottom lip and you parted your lips slightly. That didn’t stop Al from sliding his tongue inside your mouth. The piercing rolled against your tongue leaving a tingling sensation. Smiling through the kiss, Al finished exploring your mouth and began to press against your tongue. Playfully battling, Al ended up winning in the end. Parting away, you were as red as a tomato. Al smirked and pecked your lips one last time.

“See ya on Friday.”
